Have you ever seen thousands of aspiring game developers all in one place? Annually, the Game Developer's Conference (GDC) can attract up to 23,000 attendees all looking for a place in the game development world. The event, being held 02-06 March in San Francisco, is where many developers, designers, artists, and more gather to discuss the industry. If you are serious about game development, this is for you!
If you are interested in finding out more, visit the website at http://www.gdconf.com. We are looking into possibly organizing a trip to the conference next semester, so if you wish to attend or be a part of that, feel free to send us an email.
Additionally, the conference is always looking for volunteers to help out at the event. Being a Conference Associate is in fact a paid position, and it is an excellent opportunity for meeting those directly in the field. To find out more or apply, see http://www.calounge.com/application.php for details. The deadline is 02 Jan, so if interested, apply soon!
